Rare Disease Day is February 28, 2022
Rare Disease Day takes place annually on the last day of February to raise awareness and improve knowledge amongst the general public, policy makers, public authorities, researchers, and health professionals about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives.
1 in 20 people live with a rare Disease at some Point in their life.
Celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world, Rare Disease Day also highlights the unique partnership that exists among the patient community, government entities such as the NIH Office of Rare Diseases and FDA Office of Orphan Products Development, medical professionals, researchers, and companies developing orphan products.
